BIA GREY - Protective motorcycle base layer / bodysuit

A motorcycling base layer should be strong, protective, comfortable, and of course, stylish. The Bia Black hits all those targets, offering an innovative and new PANDO design to female riders.

Inspired by the popularity of the Commando UH Black, the Bia Black is clearly designed with women in mind. This double layer bodysuit is shaped for the female form, with a new technology crotch closure that’s adjustable to two heights and secured with ultra thin snaps. When wearing it you have choices on styling, as it can be worn by itself, under a t-shirt or jacket, or over a singlet.

The motorcycling bodysuit is constructed using Baltistex and Cordura mesh. Previously used in military applications, Baltistex is an abrasion resistant material that’s 15x stronger than steel. Despite this, it’s also extremely lightweight and highly heat conducting, helping keep you cool and comfortable. When put to the road during the EN 17092-2:2020 standard testing it performed its duty, being CE rated to level AAA.

Protecting the high risk areas of your upper body, the elbows and shoulders, is D3O® Ghost™ CE level 1 (EN1621-1:2012) approved armour. If you’d like a little more protection, you can also add a lightweight back armour piece, like the QUATROFLEX CE level 2.

FAQ

What is CE AAA certification, and how is it tested?

Under the European safety standards, motorcycle garments are assessed against the EN17092-2:2020 standard. Those that meet the criteria are then given a rating based on the performance, with Level AAA being reserved for garments that offer the highest level of protection. 

The testing process includes: 

• Abrasion resistance testing to simulate sliding across asphalt 
• Tear strength tests to see how much force it takes to rip the fabric 
• Pressure tests on the seams 

Like all Pando Moto protective wear, the Bia Grey underwent CE testing; it was rated Level AAA.

You can wear the Bia Grey under a jacket or as a standalone layer; the choice is yours. 

How do I choose the right size if I fall between measurements?

How should I wash and care for the Balistex® fabric and armor inserts?

To start, remove the D3O® Ghost™ CE Level 1 armor and the Quatroflex CE Level 2 if you have it. These can be wiped down with a damp cloth and left to air dry.

Pando Moto's Balistex base layers can be hand-washed or turned inside out and machine-washed on a gentle cycle. During the cleaning process, use cold or lukewarm water and a mild detergent; avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or fabric softener. Once clean, leave the body suit to air dry at room temperature in a shaded space.  

Will this base layer keep me warm in cold weather, or is it designed for summer use?

By itself, this Pando Moto women's body suit is perfect for summer riding because it's breathable and heat-conducting. When things start to cool down, though, the low-profile design means it can easily be worn under a jacket to keep you warm.
